Summer Legs 09
As we head into warm weather we are all thinking about summer fashion and the woes of showing off our winter legs. If you are the typical women, then you are up in arms about those spider veins that seem to creep up during the winter months.
Spider veins are those red, blue or purple clusters of veins that lie near the surface of the skin. These spider veins can be caused by pregnancy, heredity, weight gain and sitting or standing for long periods of time.
Sclerotherapy is the easiest and fastest way to get rid of spider veins. During an office consultation, Dr Levine will explain each step and discuss individual expectations. He will then inject the veins with a sclerosing solution, which causes the vein to collapse and disappear. Usually you will notice most of your veins disappear during the first treatment while further improvement is typically noted for several weeks after. It is not uncommon to require a touch up session which is usually done about six weeks later.
Dr Levine also treats larger blue veins and fat ropy varicose veins so virtually any presentation can be looked after in our office.
It is not too late to get your legs summer-ready! Call today to make an appointment and feel better about yourself in no time!
