Power PhotoFacials (With Levulan)
Power PhotoFacials are for patients who want the benefits of a PhotoFacial series in one to two treatments.
The procedure involves an initial microdermabrasion followed immediately by an application of a topical solution called Levulan to the skin 45 minutes to an hour before the treatment. Levulan makes the skin more sensitive to the laser’s light, reducing the need for more treatments. The procedure begins after the Levulan solution is carefully washed off.
Unlike a routine PhotoFacial, there is swelling and your skin will peel. When healed, your skin will be smoother and look much more uniform in tone. In addition, a power PhotoFacial is particularly effective in removing pre-cancerous growths (actinic keratoses).
