For patients with severe or cystic acne, Levulan is applied to the skin before the ClearLight™ treatment.
Levulan is a topical solution that makes the treatment area more sensitive to blue light. After a period of time determined by the physician, the Levulan is carefully washed off and the ClearLight™ treatment begins.
